Groats
Groats of different grain types are whole kernels sliced into 2-3 pieces, steamed and then rolled.
They are often used in bread dough such as sources of wholegrain, as a texture giver, retainer of freshness or as decoration on bread. Groats of different grainvarieties are also suitable for many breakfast products (muesli, granola etc.)
